Therapy

Pada Abhyanga

Detailed massage of the feet with warm oil and a kansa bowl, small in scope, disproportionate in effect.

What it is

The feet, ankles and lower legs are massaged with medicated oil, often finished with a bronze kansa bowl worked over the soles. Marma points on the feet connect to the eyes, head and nervous system.

What it helps

Insomnia, restlessness, eye strain, cracked heels, burning feet, and the ungrounded mental state of aggravated Vata. It is one of the few therapies that can be continued safely at home every night.

What to expect

A quiet, deeply relaxing session. Often added to the end of a larger treatment rather than booked alone.
